Jenrick has been a junior chef for the last four years and he is excited to receive his first nomination for his work and dedication to the kitchen. Born in the Philippines, he started as a kitchen apprentice in his school days and always knew working in the kitchen and with food was his calling. This calling and passion led him to further his studies in hospitality and he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management with a Major in Culinary Arts. Trained in international cuisine and specialising in French cooking, he has worked for four years as a sous chef in Singapore, with the last year and a half spent with One Farrer Hotel. In Singapore, he is happy to have been given many opportunities to learn and experience many things at work, including being given the chance to spearhead a 10-day Filipino buffet in his previous workplace.
