Inthran’s foray into the world of wine and spirits formally began at Raffles Hotel in 2000. In the role of Captain running restaurant and bar operations at Long Bar Steakhouse, he was part of the wine team, as well as the Raffles Hotel Annual Wine and Food Experience (2001 – 2002). Inthran later joined Les Amis and Au Jardin as Assistant Sommelier in 2003 where he was responsible of preparing and maintaining the wine list, consisting of over two thousand labels. He was promoted to a full-fledged Sommelier in 2006 and joined the opening team of La Starada Ristorante and Pizzeria by Les Amis as Assistant Manager and Sommelier. In 2007, he assumed the position of Resident Sommelier at Au Jardin by Les Amis and took charge of the restaurant wine programme.
Inthran was also part of the opening set up team for Les Amis’ first overseas restaurant in Hong Kong, Cepage where he established the wine cellar and was promoted to Acting Restaurant Manager at Guy Savoy Restaurant in Marina Bay Sands Singapore, before joining Mandarin Oriental, Singapore in August 2013.
