    Behind Capella Singapore’s dainty pastries lies a promising, young face. Chef Go Wei Yen has been working in the pastry kitchens of some of hospitality’s renowned brands, such as The Westin Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Swissotel and Fairmont Singapore. Armed with the ability to create a wide variety of desserts and pastries, from bread, quiches to macarons, Chef Wei Yen is known for being meticulous and patient, as his colleagues describe him as a soft-spoken but enthusiastic team player.
     
    Trained at BERJAYA University College of Hospitality, Chef Wei Yen obtained his Diploma in Patisserie and Baking, and has achieved Gold with Distinction in City and Guilds’ Baking and Pastry Course, and has participated in IKIP Asian Culinary Challenge in 2013. He’s not one that is all work and no play. Frequently on the lookout for new dessert and pastry trends, Chef Wei Yen enjoys spending his days off café hopping and discovering hidden gems in the city.
