Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Awards

World Gourmet Summit Awards Of Excellence will also continue to collaborate with Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to present the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Awards in 2010.

Inaugrated in 2008, the WSQ awards are presented to apprentices who demonstrate a high level of passion and enthusiasm for learning as well as to acknowledge companies which champion continuous education and training for their staff. It also recognises practicing chefs who nurture culinary and pastry talents for the next generation.

“The WSQ award is an ideal platform to honor those who have played a key, yet discreet role in nurturing the potential of the culinary talents in the industry. We don´t just want to recognize those with exceptional skills, but also those who guide, inspire and provide the means for talents to scale greater heights of excellence,” says Mr Knipp.

In 2010, WDA is proud to present eight awards to recognise the efforts of these individuals and companies, for their continued support towards the commitment of lifelong learning. Click here to find out who the winners are.
