Established in 2002, the Awards Of Excellence (AOE) Scholarship provides young individuals with the passion and drive in hospitality, wine or culinary arts a chance to venture overseas for a bond-free one to two weeks attachment at renowned F&B establishments. Over the past eight years, the scholarships have opened many doors for budding talents to further their passion and hone their skills in the food and beverage (F&B) industry.

In 2010, scholarships will be given out to young and budding talents in the said fields. With return air tickets and accommodation provided, the five recipients will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience to attend lessons or to partake in apprenticeships at renowned establishments.

Applicants are required to go for a written test held at the Tourism Academy @ Sentosa, where the five highest scoring candidates for each scholarship will then be shortlisted for a practical test and interview by our industry jurors.

In 2010, two new education scholarships will be presented by At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy and Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) on the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) Awards Of Excellence platform to champion culinary excellence. For more information, please click here.
