WSQ Outstanding Pastry Apprentice
This award seeks to recognise an individual who is a pastry apprentice in a food and beverage (F&B) establishment. This individual should demonstrate a high level of passion, a strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for learning.
- Guidelines for Nomination:
- The WSQ Outstanding Apprenticeship Award is open to trainees who are currently undergoing F&B Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) apprenticeship programme with a WSQ Approved Training Organisation.
- Applicants must have completed at least 120 hours of industrial attachment.
- A letter of recommendation (from trade professionals or training institute) enclosing contact details of referees should be included with application form.
- Application will not be considered if forms are not duly completed.
- Qualified candidates will be required to undergo up to one round of interview.

- Guidelines for Nomination:
- The WSQ Most Supportive Mentor Chef Award is open to nominees who have played the role of mentor, and have developed and guided F&B Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) apprentices in their career and personal development
- Nominees must be formally trained as a chef with minimum diploma qualification.
- Nomination will not be considered if forms are not duly completed.
- Qualified nominees may be required to undergo up to one round of interview.

This award seeks to recognise food and beverage (F&B) establishments which have demonstrated a high level of excellence and commitment in WSQ training. The F&B establishment should have displayed exceptional accomplishment in implementing quality WSQ training in house.
Award Recipient: Vincent Tan, Managing Director, Select Group
WSQ Most Supportive Employer Award (F&B Category)
This award seeks to recognise the efforts of food and beverage (F&B) establishments in supporting WSQ. The F&B establishment should have demonstrated consistent efforts in hiring WSQ graduates, providing internship opportunities for WSQ trainees and adoption of WSQ schemes.
Award Recipient: Andrew Tjioe, Executive Chairman, Tung Lok Restaurants (2000) Ltd
WSQ Training Excellence Award (Hotel Category)
This award seeks to recognise hotels which demonstrate a high level of excellence and commitment in WSQ training. The hotel should have displayed exceptional accomplishment in implementing quality WSQ training in house.
Award Recipient: Darren Ware, General Manager, Park Hotel Clarke Quay
WSQ Most Supportive Employer Award (Hotel Category)
This award seeks to recognise the efforts of hotels in supporting WSQ. The hotel should have demonstrated consistent efforts in hiring WSQ graduates, providing internship opportunities for WSQ trainees and adoption of WSQ schemes.
