Montblanc Food Writer of the Year
This award is presented to a journalist who has written a food article (single) that has either been published in a magazine or newspaper. The journalists’ article should feature a restaurant(s) or Singapore-related cuisine and/or portrayed the culinary/dining scene in Singapore.

Application Criteria:
- This award is open to all journalists in Singapore.
- All participants must attach their article (in printed word document and a photocopy of their published work) along with this application form and send by post to the address provided below.
- All participants of the award must sign this application form to allow Montblanc and Peter Knipp Holdings to do multiple publications of their work. The submitted article is non-returnable.
- Copyright of all articles submitted for the competition will remain with the journalist. However, the organiser will reserve the permanent non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, display, distribute and show on screen any photograph on websites, tradeshows or any other media without obtaining further permission from the entrants.
- All articles submitted must not have won any awards in any other similar competitions.
- Articles submitted must be a published work in printed media, magazine and/or newspaper.
- Articles submitted should contain features of restaurants or Singapore-related cuisine and/or portray the culinary/dining scene in Singapore.
- All journalists must obtain clearance for the articles to be submitted for this award. Permission should be obtained from publishers of the magazines/newspapers that the articles appeared in.
- The criteria are applicable at the time of print. The organisers reserve the right to amend the criteria at any time, both before and after the contest, according to their discretion without any prior notification.
- The organisers reserve the right to refuse or disqualify any participant who does not abide by these rules and regulations.
Evaluation Process
The selection of the award recipient for the Montblanc Food Writer Of The Year Award will involve one round of nomination. A panel of ten industry professionals will be selected to judge the submitted entries for the award. The jurors may vote for any article that meets the criteria and the finalists will be announced at the WGS Awards of Excellence Press Conference on 11 March 2010. The award recipient will be announced at the WGS Awards of Excellence Ceremony on 10 April 2010.
