In 2006 the New York Times hailed Yong Bing Ngen ‘a star in local kitchens’. This talented and celebrated chef boasts an impressive resumé, with previous roles such as executive Chinese chef at the Hai Tien Lo restaurant (Pan Pacific Hotel), chef de cuisine of Raffles Hotel Singapore for the Empress Room and Doc Cheng’s and executive chef for Jade restaurant in Fullerton Hotel. Now as the owner-chef of Majestic Restaurant, he continues to serve up creative and delectable cuisine. His passion and talent have been recognised with numerous awards including the 2008-2010 Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards Best in South East Asia Outstanding Chinese Cuisine Chef and the 2004-2006 Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards Chinese Cuisine Chef of the Year.
