and below who has demonstrated a high level of creativity
and potential for being a true master in his trade. This individual
must be directly involved in restaurant operations and has
provided for excellent dining experience.

Quoc Nguyen, a Danish national, spent four years in Denmark
completing the hospitality diploma course. He was an apprentice
chef in Torvehallene Vejle, Denmark from 1994 to 1997, and was
subsequently promoted to chef de partie in other restaurants
such as Svinklov Badehotel, Denmark. With his fresh, contemporary
perspectives for culinary arts, Nam has enabled the heights
of French cuisine to soar even higher. He has been the resident
chef in The Lighthouse since 2000. |

Pasinato is the chef and owner of Buko Nero, a restaurant which
offers exquisite modern Italian-Asian cuisine. He has previously
worked in Paris and London and also garnered experience when
he was the sous chef of Italian Restaurant Bice at Four Seasons
Hotel, Tokyo. Another milestone in the course of his career
was his designation as the chef of Hibiscus Italian Restaurant
from 1997 to 1999 at The Landmark, Bangkok. |

Ho spent three months in France learning the ropes from various
masterchefs. His interest in the culinary arts was further boosted
by a sponsored study in Baking Science and Technology in Thailand.
Ho saw the opportunity to put his vast skills to good use when
Marmalade opened. To date, Ho's reputation as an innovative
chef has been firmly established. Ho was also a finalist at
last year's WGS Awards of Excellence for the Rising Chef of
the Year Award. |
